Tenerife July 2006

Family holiday to Los Gigantes, perfect opportunity to try water a little warmer than 10°.

Opted for the Los Gigantes Diving Center - could not have picked a better place, Nev and Andy were very helpful, confident and made one feel very much at home. The couple of dives jumped quickly up to six (much to the consternation of the family) - hope to try and get back there later this year.

Apart for the 1st time with some nice visibility, 1st time in warm water 22° also had a digital camera (Sony W5 with waterproof housing). The quality of some of these photo's leave a lot to be desired, however, they are the 1st and as such will stay here till I get a chance to update and replace.

Remember folks, things seem 33% larger under water, so the receding hairline is not really that bad :-).

One of the really cool dives was the 'Ray Dive' - it was excellent, Nev takes a large (very large) dustbin of fish head and other chum down, and before you know it, the place is full of rays, bream, damsel fish - most of the photo's below were taken on the Ray dive.

There are a few fish pics as also did the PADI Adventure `AWARE Fish ID' Dive and these are to remind me what I saw.

Thanks again to the staff of the Los Gigantes Diving Center had a great time.

Click on the thumb nail for a larger image, there is even a little mpg video. Due to the size of some of the images (and the mpg) I have had to move the full images onto a different server without disk quota's - may be a little slow to download.
